Results
Chemical peels using natural acids have been a trendy method of tackling skin disorders for several years now with excellent results. Chemical peels have been used for centuries; Cleopatra was famous for bathing in asses milk which is Lactic acid; a safe and effective
Alpha Hydroxy acid (AHA) which gently breaks down the “glue” which binds the top skin cells together, causing exfoliation, reducing fine lines, wrinkles and improving skin texture and tone.
Considerably more advanced, modern-day chemical peeling has evolved into a combination of various natural chemical acids to treat specific skin disorders. Trichloroacetic acid, known as TCA, is a more aggressive form of a chemical acid that burns off the skins top layers. The depth of penetration depends on the concentration of the acid. TCA up to about 35% is classed as a superficial peel, with percentages above this as a medium-depth peel. It promotes rapid dermal collagen remodelling, as the skin is stimulated to repair the damage caused. TCA is much more powerful than most acids used in chemical peels, which, although it helps it work so wonderfully, it is not without its risks.
TCA touch is very different from other TCA products on the market. It is a non ablative peel. It is a revolutionary concept with the intense stimulation of cell renewal. With the ability to
control the penetration and results in a unique, non-aggressive, multi-functional treatment: meaning no severe superficial trauma, complications or side effects and excellent skin tolerance!
The TCA Touch uses Trichloroacetic acid, Arbutin and Magnesium at a much safer concentration of 30% and delivers impressive results. It is a non-ablative skin peel meaning it doesn’t burn the top layers of the skin. The chemical formulation has been transformed by
dividing the molecules into Dichloroacetic and Monochloroacetic acid. This formulation ensures the rapid delivery of the TCA molecules into the deeper layers, a special non-aggressive and multi-functional treatment. As the Formula is enriched with Arbutin, it has huge skin lightening properties and Magnesium Sulfate as an anti-inflammatory effect. This reduces the downtime, pain and risks associated with the classic TCA treatment procedures. Unlike other TCA treatments, this makes the procedure suitable for all skin types and disorders.
During the treatment, you will lay comfortably on the treatment couch. Our pHformula skin specialist will cleanse and prime your skin to ensure that the skin surface is clean and free from bacteria. Our advanced skin specialist in Norwich will then apply the TCA peel formula. This will be applied in small dots to each area and massaged gently into the skin. This may be repeated until between 1-6 fine layers have been applied. The process is comfortable, but after several moments can sometimes be described as a warm and tingling feeling. Immediately afterwards, your skin will be warm and slightly sensitive to the touch. To enhance the treatment results, a specific serum selected for your skin type and concern will be pressed gently into the skin to soothe and hydrate the skin. In some cases, when necessary, a further serum will be applied to the skin surface and nano needled into the skin with our excellent DR pen to enhance product absorption further. A complimentary face mask will be provided for you to apply at home to keep your skin hydrated.
