Our Laser Tattoo Removal treatment uses the exclusive Q10 machine, which is CE, FDA approved and medical grade. The Q10 is a high-power Nd: YAG laser with four wavelengths which effectively removes permanent and semi-permanent tattoos. The Q10 Laser at Norwich Face and Body Clinic is also used to treat an array of skin conditions and concerns. If you have been searching for “Tattoo removal near me” look no further.
Norwich Laser Tattoo Removal works by targeting the tattoo ink deep within the skin.
The laser penetrates through the skin down to the tattoo and breaks the tattoo ink into particles.
After the ink is broken down, the immune system recognises it as waste and works hard to flush the ink particles out of the body’s system.
With each visit, the ink is broken down further into smaller particles until the tattoo is minimally visible, if at all.
It is essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle during treatment to ensure the immune system has the best possible chance to remove these waste particles. The speed at which the tattoo is removed will depend a great deal on this.
We offer telephone or face to face consultations; enabling you to come along and meet the team to discuss any queries you may have, and to ensure the most suitable treatment is prescribed.
All machines and equipment within our Norwich Clinic are Medical Grade, CE and FDA approved.
To ensure maximum comfort, we use the Cryo-Zet air cooler. This state of the art system produces cool air to as low as -35 degrees, which increases comfort, accelerates recovery and reduces side effects.
If you experience these effects, it is essential to remember that these are common. Some of the symptoms, including post-treatment blisters, actually indicate that your body is healing as it should. Although these effects may be uncomfortable, they positively signal your skin’s adaptability and its ability to respond to the treatment adequately.
In addition, it is also important to note that directly following the procedure the skin that has been treated will turn a white ‘frost’ colour. Do not be alarmed —this is normal. In most cases, the frosting of the area will only last a few minutes.
Removal of cosmetic tattoos such as semi-permanent eyebrows is faster and requires fewer treatments than standard tattoo removal.
Most clients compare getting laser tattoo removal to having a warm rubber band being flicked against the skin, similar to the sensation of having the initial tattoo.
Although we appreciate this doesn’t sound too enjoyable, we can assure you we have taken every precaution to make laser tattoo removal as painless as possible.
To ensure your tattoo removal experience is as comfortable as possible, we use a specialist laser cooling system before, during and after your tattoo removal treatments to provide pain relief and protection for your skin. This counteracts the sensations of heat that you would feel from the laser.
Your treated skin will be the most tender the first few days after receiving your laser tattoo removal procedure at Norwich Face and Body Clinic. Our laser specialist will have placed a bandage over the treated area, and it is essential to leave this in place for 24-48 hours.
Avoid hot showers, baths or soaking your skin for 24 hours after the laser tattoo removal. When you do shower, try to keep the treated skin out of the direct stream of water.
The area may be red, swollen and blisters may develop on the treated area between one and three days following the tattoo removal. This is normal. However, do not pick or otherwise irritate these blisters, as they will drain and dry into scabs independently. Avoiding unnecessary contact with the scabs is recommended as well to prevent scratching the skin. These scabs commonly fall off between 10 – 14 days after your treatment.
Avoid sun exposure during the entire course of treatment.
