Human fat freezes from -1°C while the Cryolipolysis handpiece reaches 0°C to -10°C.

The vacuum in the handpiece pulls the pocket of fat into the head, and the plates inside the head freeze the area down to the selected temperature.

Subcutaneous fat cells are more vulnerable to the effects of the cold than other surrounding tissue.

When fat cells are exposed to a precise cooling below body temperature, they undergo crystallisation and localised cell death (apoptosis).

Using the unique combination of electro and cryotherapy, 20-40% of the fat cells in the area being treated die naturally and dissolve over the course of several months. These damaged fat cells in the treated area are gently eliminated through the body’s normal metabolic process.

Clients will see results of this treatment within weeks depending on lifestyle and aftercare habits, but full results may take up to three months to appear. FAQ's

DO: Drink 1 litre of water pre-treatment. Shower/bathe pre-treatment, ensuring the skin is clean. DO NOT: Expose the area to sun or sun tanning beds for 48-72 hours post-treatment. Consume alcohol 24 hours pre-treatment. Consume a heavy meal 2 hours pre-treatment. Consume caffeine 2 hours before pre-treatment. Pre and post care will be discussed at your consultation appointment verbally and confirmed via email before and after your appointment.
DO: Drink 1 litre of water post-treatment.Keep the area cool, clean (using cool water only) and dry for 12-24 hours. DO NOT: Use any form of exfoliants and/or any other products that may be drying or irritating to the skin for 4-6 weeks post-treatment. The specific use of gentle products will be advised during your appointment. Expose the area to sun or sun tanning beds for 48-72 hours post-treatment. Undertake Waxing, Electrolysis or laser hair removal on the area for two weeks post-treatment. Use steam rooms, saunas, hot baths, showers and heavy exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment. The post-treatment response will vary from client to client, depending on the size and type of treatment and the skin's sensitivity. What to expect  Please be aware that you may experience one or more of the following: Bruising, this may be apparent for up to 10 days. Redness, this may be present for up to 4 weeks. Treatment time ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on the area.
Slight redness and swelling can occur immediately after the treatment 2-3 days later, you might feel slight discomfort within the treatment area. Up to 10 days after the treatment, there may be some minor bruising, Cold and firmness of the area for up to 2 weeks post-treatment.
None is required, you can return to your normal routine immediately after the treatment has finished.

Cryolipolysis Targeted Fat Freezing is an effective way to deal with unwanted or stubborn fat pockets, but it does have its limitations. As it is solely a fat freezing treatment, it works on a targeted pocket of fat, meaning it won’t help if your concerns are loose or sagging skin, and it won’t help treat cellulite either. If you have loose, sagging skin, unwanted fatty areas or cellulite, then one of our 3D Lipo courses could be the best solution for you. We offer telephone or face to face consultations, enabling you to come along and meet the team to discuss any queries you may have.
The number of treatments depends on the size and depth of the fat pocket. On most occasions, one treatment is enough. If more than one treatment is required, this can be carried out between 6 weeks and 3 months later, depending on your lifestyle and aftercare. One treatment session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the head's size and how many areas are being treated. All details will be discussed in your consultation appointment. Cryolipolysis Targeted Fat Freezing is a one-off treatment and can take up to 3 months to see the full results, depending on the client’s aftercare. Other methods of 3D Lipo take between 4-8 weeks to see results. This would be a course of 6-8 sessions; some results can be seen sooner.
During the treatment, you will experience a slight pulling sensation and feel the treated area turning cold and then becoming numb.
