Microneedling is a fantastic treatment that creates microscopic punctures intended to stimulate skin’s natural collagen (CIT) and elastin production. It triggers a healing response from the body, helping to rejuvenate the skin whilst preserving epidermal integrity.
At Norwich Face and Body Clinic, we offer two styles of microneedling, both of which are performed using one of our medical motorised needling devices.
Nanoneedles and microneedles create micro-channels in the skin using one of our devices that use oscillating motion. They both induce cellular turnover and regulation and provoke the healing process (to varying degrees) that results in skin rejuvenation. The main difference between the two is the depth that the needles can penetrate the skin. Nanoneedles only punctures the epidermis treating the upper 0.15mm of the skin, while microneedles can be adjusted to different depths, from the epidermis to the dermis. These adjustable perimeters allow our therapists to adjust the depth and speed to treat various skin conditions and Fitzpatrick skin types. The micro-injuries caused by microneedles stimulate the body’s natural healing process, increasing collagen and elastin production to promote skin rejuvenation and increase absorption of products through the skin. This procedure can also be effective for skin laxity or sagging, thinning skin, wrinkles, UV damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, scars and stretch marks.
Nanoneedles are made of silicone hair-like cones instead of needles that separate the cells within the epidermis’s top layer to allow enhanced penetration of products. Creating these micro-channels in the skin increases product absorption by 97% and encourages your body to rejuvenate itself. This serum infusion treatment benefits include pigmentation reduction, increased cell turnover, skin rejuvenation, and an immediate glow.
This facial includes the application of a high strength skin-boosting serum. This booster is a mixture of five different Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA), antioxidants and growth factors, with an auto-neutralising release that is fantastic for skin rejuvenation, acne prevention, treatment of photo-ageing, fighting free radicals damages and most importantly, supporting the skin’s barrier. Lastly, the advanced finishes with our clinically proven LED Phototherapy. The skin absorbs the LED light, which energises the fibroblast cell in the dermis; the cells become energised, produce collagen, increase elasticity, and accelerate healing. The LED light uses different wavelengths, which work on different mechanisms within the cells.
Our facial treatments use products that are developed using the highest quality medical-grade ingredients created by world-class dermatologists. We continuously update our skills and knowledge to ensure we continue to provide the best possible service.
